The Countryside Recreation Network

The Countryside Recreation Network (CRN) is committed to exchanging and sharing information to develop best policy and practice in countryside recreation in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Sport England

Sport England works towards a 1% increase in participation in sport among adults (aged 16 plus) in priority groups, together with work to support the children and young people strategy. Going forward (from April 2008) Sport England's main priority will be to deliver a world class community sports development system, with a particular focus on talent development and excellence.

The Community Club Development Programme (CCDP) is providing £100 million to sports National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to help community sports clubs increase participation and widen access.

1200 projects had been awarded funding for capital developments up to April 2007 and over 900 of these are completed.
