The Work and Health Research Centre, School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, Loughborough University
Loughborough is one of the country's leading universities, highly regarded, justifiably proud of its many achievements and recently named University of the Year by the Sunday Times for 2008/09.
For the past three years, Loughborough has been voted the UK's 'Best Student Experience' in the prestigious Times Higher Awards - highlighting the excellent community atmosphere, extracurricular activities and societies, and the good environment on campus and around the University. Loughborough was also recognised for its commitment to supporting students from abroad in the 2007 awards, winning 'Outstanding Support for Overseas Students'.
The Work and Health Research Centre, based in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, undertakes research and consultancy into health and safety, in both the work and leisure context. The approach adopted by the Centre aims to protect health and safety, while improving health and performance. We have worked with many organisations from both the private and public sectors, ranging from small local firms, through to government departments and major international companies.
