Six student winners from this year's Design Directions scheme speak about their projects, the research they undertook and the process that led to their final proposals
Judging process
The RSA appoints a different judging panel for each Design Directions project, usually comprising a chair selected from the RSA Advisory Council or the Faculty of Royal Designers for Industry, together with design professionals and other experts, design educators and representatives of the sponsoring organisations.
