Design Directions+

Action for Age

designing a better future

Action for Age was part of an exciting new concept this year called Design Directions Plus: designed to offer students the opportunity for contact with, and input from, key experts and stakeholders in the development of their projects.

The RSA created opportunities for the shortlisted students to have mentoring sessions with practicing service designers to expand and develop their ideas and, following this, they then took part in a stakeholder workshop in order to reinforce the participatory co-design process that is at the heart of creating services. Once these extra processes were completed, the students had a few weeks to prepare their final presentation to the judging panel.
