History

In 1924, as part of its advocacy of good design, the RSA established a student award scheme with the aim of linking education and industry in beneficial partnerships; in a contemporary form, this scheme continues today.

RSA Design Directions now contributes to the practical expression of the RSA's mission and provides an opportunity for emerging young designers to show how design can be a genuine vehicle for change.
